Now we had toyed with the idea of a video to help showcase what we do but I had a strong believe that it had to show a party in full swing and not be a staged affair as I think this puts people off, as they want to know what we are all about and I can't think of a better way to do this then just jump right in and film a real life party. Oh but can it be that easy because with that comes a challenge both logistically and also finding a videographer who is not faint hearted!
So in comes Harvey who we had met on our travels, now at first I didn't think this would be up his street and his life revolves around motor racing and short films but I was so wrong as he was definitely up for the challenge although I am not sure he realised what a room full of women and one man would bring. I have never seen a man with an initial look of fear on his face as the girls all whooped and greeted him into the room with a chorus of approval, luckily he didn't turn and run but embraced the chaos.
Through the planning process he offered his words of wisdom and also had a clear vision of what to do, and totally 'got' what our brand is about so I left it in his capable hands. Rather than create an 'advert' - the idea is that the video tells the story of what a party with us is all about so everyone gets what we are about, but wpould also help the Bride to Be or organiser get the buy in from teh other hens when choosing this type of party option.
So the day was chosen but how do you convince three 'Brides To Be' to share their day on camera with you, well it was alot simpler than I thought, we just kept the day as it should be and used Harvey's stealth like qualities to capture those moments in fact I know the team and hens forgot that he was there at all, once they had got over the fact that there was a rather charming and young guy in the room. We thought our biggest challenge would be gettting the hens to be videoed for their comments but oh we were so wrong as they lept at the chance to talk about their day which we cannot thank them enough for.
Our challenge turned out to be our lovely crackpot team who kept getting the giggles in fact I think again the marvel that is Harvey managed to create any sensible chats with our hosts shows his talents to the full and still makes me chuckle when I see the video as I remember how funny it was on the day.
The video was shot in real time at one of our fav venues Kettners and also couldn't have happened without our talented team of stylists and our uber talented photographer Lara who were happy to be filmed on the day. Where was I I hear you ask well I stayed well and truly behind the camera because I was never going to be ready for my close up Mr Demille!
I am so thrilled with the end result I could burst with pride at what the team and Harvey has achieved and I am so happy to be able to share with you we hope you love it as much as we do.
